Directions to Gun End Cottage
From Macclesfield, proceed south on the A523, passing through the traffic lights at the crossroads with the A54, and pass through the village of Bosley. Enter the village of Rushton and at the far end where the main road bears to the right by the Royal Oak public house, continue straight on up the hill. At the top of the hill, turn left, signposted for Meerbrook and left again after 1.2 miles, signposted for Swythamley. Turn left again after a further 1.2 miles, just after the phone box and Gun End Cottage will then be found 100 metres along on the left hand side.
From Leek, proceed north on the A523 for 2.4 miles. As the road bears left, turn right, continue straight on up the hill (signposted for Heaton). At the top of the hill take the first right, signposted for Swythamley. Continue on this road for 2 miles, turning left just after the phone box. Gun End Cottage will then be found 100 metres along on the left hand side.
